What it is
Shared Brain is a high-density Next.js dashboard for holding research in a living graph: nodes for core claims and terms, edges for dependence, tools for injecting papers and thoughts without breaking flow.
Stack: Next.js App Router, React 19, Tailwind v4, @xyflow/react. Ultra-dark UI, cyan accents — built to feel like a lab instrument, not a CMS.
What you can do in it
Explore and edit a persisted research graph (versioned seeds, hard reset, multi-select, delete). Filter and auto-layout. Snapshot a session timeline and restore frames. Pull a DOI through Crossref into a paper node. Fire structured or intrusive research thoughts onto the canvas.
The default seed centers schizophrenia transcriptomics — DLPFC cohort, computational pipeline, pathway terms — because that is the active research thread. Academic plans and modeling work share the same substrate.
In the stack
The Academics vault is the durable note graph. Shared Brain is the interactive instrument for the same material — especially when a map beats a folder tree. This site is the public edge; the app is local.
