What it is

Polaris is a local-first macOS app for running day-to-day life as a coherent system: long-term questlines, skill categories, journal and mood, household ops, a deadline map, and a lightweight stardust economy tied to wishlist unlocks.

Native by design — SwiftUI, on-device persistence, no subscription leash. Evolved from the earlier Lifemaxxing outline into a real product codebase (StarGuide / Polaris).

What is already real

Navigation shell and hubs for Mental Health (mood, energy, journal, wins, skill tasks), Personal Care, Household (chores, shopping, pantry/recipes), three main questlines with objectives → quests → subquests, Shop meters, and a Map that flattens deadlines across domains.

Persistence is moving from transitional JSON toward SwiftData for catalogs and questline blueprints, with CRUD for user-editable data instead of hardcoded presets.

In the stack

Plans name the trajectory. The Academics vault holds coursework and literature. Shared Brain graphs the research. Polaris is the surface that turns all of that into dated quests you actually finish.
