Academics vault
Obsidian second brain for the academic career — degree plan, phd-prep, literature, and concept notes spanning Purdue Fort Wayne CS & Psychology and the computational neuroscience through-line. The durable substrate Plans and Shared Brain both draw from.
- Active coursework: Computer Science & Psychology at Purdue University Fort Wayne (Honors)
- Research through-line: computational neuroscience / computational psychiatry
- Vault layout: META home, semester notes, pfw/, phd-prep/, psych-ref-notes/, cs-ref-notes/, reading lists
- Bridged from this site via obsidian:// so desktop notes and public modules stay linked
What the vault is
The Academics vault is the personal academic second brain: degree requirements and semester load, PhD preparation, clipped and written literature, CS and psych reference notes, and task boards that keep the plan honest.
Central organization for the academic career, transparent skill development, and an aggregate knowledge base of related constructs — with this domain as the long-term public showcase, built incrementally so knowledge work stays primary.
Degree path
Active coursework: Computer Science and Psychology at Purdue University Fort Wayne, with computational neuroscience as the through-line. Progress, remaining requirements, and semester quests live in the vault — not frozen on this page.
Relevant anchors include discrete math, CS sequence work, C & Unix, psychobiology / abnormal psychology, and supporting quantitative coursework.
Knowledge topology
phd-prep holds roadmaps, program research, skill boards, and topic sketches (comp neuro, stochastic processes, neurological disorders). psych-ref-notes and academic articles hold illness models, treatment context, and paper notes. cs-ref-notes covers theory and tooling.
Lab Notes (sibling vault) carries active research project specs — e.g. schizophrenia transcriptomics — that Shared Brain graphs and this site can deep-link.
In the stack
Academics vault = source of truth for school and literature. Plans = trajectory distilled from that vault. Shared Brain = interactive research map. Polaris = life execution. stephanierd.dev = public edge and Obsidian bridge.
